(III) WHERE THERE IS A LOCAL ORDINANCE THAT
PROHIBITS PARKING DURING HEAVY TRAFFIC PERIODS IN
MORNING, AFTERNOON, OR EVENING RUSH HOURS, OR WHERE
PARKING CLEARLY WOULD PRESENT A TRAFFIC HAZARD.

§3-607.
As to the revision of this section, generally,
see revisor's note to §13—613 of this
subtitle.
Present Art. 66 1/2, §13-607(c), which
prohibits misrepresentation as to a person's
qualifications for special registration under
this section, is deleted as unnecessary in
light of the general provisions to the same
effect in §13-708 of this title.
Present Art. 66 1/2, §13-607(d), which
prohibits the owner of a vehicle from using
plates issued under this section unless he is
entitled to them, is deleted as unnecessary in
light of the general provisions to the same
effect in §13-703 (c)(2) of this title.

the "certification" required by it, see, also,
§12—109 of this article.
As to subsection (c) of this section and the
"annual registration fee otherwise required",
see §§ 13-912 and 13-918 and the exemption
provisions of §13—903 of this title.
13-617. SPECIAL REGISTRATION PLATES FOR AMATEUR RADIO
LICENSEES.
(A) WHO MAY OBTAIN.
(1) THE OWNER OF ANY VEHICLE DESCRIBED IN
PARAGRAPH (2) OF THIS SUBSECTION MAY APPLY TO THE
ADMINISTRATION FOR THE ASSIGNMENT TO THAT VEHICLE OF A
SPECIAL AMATEUR RADIO REGISTRATION NUMBER, IF THE
APPLICANT HOLDS AN AMATEUR RADIO STATION LICENSE ISSUED
BY THE FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION.
(2) THIS SECTION APPLIES ONLY AS TO AN OWNER
OF:
(I) A CLASS A (PASSENGER) VEHICLE; OR
(II) A CLASS E (TRUCK) VEHICLE WITH A 3/4 TON
OR LESS MANUFACTURER'S RATED CAPACITY.
