REGISTRATION PLATE ISSUED BY ANY STATE; AND
(2) A PERSON MAY NOT DISPLAY OR PERMIT TO BE
DISPLAYED ON ANY VEHICLE USED OR DRIVEN IN THIS STATE ANY
REGISTRATION PLATE ISSUED FOR ANOTHER VEHICLE OR TO A
PERSON OTHER THAN THE OWNER OF THE VEHICLE.
(E) DUTY OF POLICE OFFICERS TO REPORT VIOLATIONS.
II IS THE DUTY OF EVERY POLICE OFFICER TO REPORT
TO THE ADMINISTRATION ALL VEHICLES OPERATED IN VIOLATION
OF THIS SECTION. THE ADMINISTRATION SHALL VERIFY
WHETHER THE OWNER OF A REPORTED VEHICLE HAS COMPLIED WITH
THIS SECTION.

section presently appear as Art. 66 1/2,
§3—411. Subsection (e) of this section
presently appears as Art. 66 1/2, §3-415(d).
In subsection (c) of this section, the short
title "Maryland Vehicle Law" is substituted
for "this article"; see §11-206 of this
article.
In subsection (d) of this section, the
introductory clause, "{e}xcept as otherwise
expressly permitted ...", is new language
added to reflect the provisions of §§13—501(b)
and 13-502.1 of this title.
The only other changes are in style.
13-412. EXPIRATION OF REGISTRATION.
(A) GENERAL RULE.
UNLESS ANNUAL VALIDATION TABS HAVE BEEN ISSUED BY
THE ADMINISTRATION AND ARE DISPLAYED ON THE PLATES AS
PROVIDED IN THIS SUBTITLE, THE REGISTRATION OF THE
FOLLOWING VEHICLE CLASSES AND THE REGISTRATION PLATES
ISSUED UNDER THIS TITLE FOR THEM EXPIRE AT MIDNIGHT ON
THE DATES INDICATED.
(B) CLASSES A AND D.
CLASS A (PASSENGER) AND CLASS D (MOTORCYCLE)
REGISTRATIONS AND REGISTRATION PLATES EXPIRE ON MARCH
31 OF EACH SUCCEEDING YEAR.
(C) "DUMP SERVICE REGISTRATION".
CLASS E (TRUCK) REGISTRATIONS AND REGISTRATION
PLATES FOR "DUMP SERVICE REGISTRATION" EXPIRE ON MAY 31
OF EACH SUCCEEDING YEAR.
(D) ALL OTHERS.
