11-146. POLE TRAILER. "POLE TRAILER" MEANS A VEHICLE THAT: (1)        HAS NO MOTIVE POWER; (2)        IS DESIGNED TO BE TOWED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE AND
ATTACHED TO THE TOWING VEHICLE BY A REACH OR POLE OR BY
BEING BOOMED OR OTHERWISE SECURED TO THE TOWING VEHICLE;
AND (3)          ORDINARILY IS USED TO TRANSPORT LONG OR
IRREGULARLY SHAPED LOADS, SUCH AS POLES, PIPES, OR
STRUCTURAL MEMBERS GENERALLY CAPABLE OF SUSTAINING
THEMSELVES AS BEAMS BETWEEN THE SUPPORTING CONNECTIONS. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 66 1/2, §1-162. The only changes are in style. 11-147. POLICE OFFICER. "POLICE OFFICER" MEANS AN OFFICER AUTHORIZED TO DIRECT OR REGULATE TRAFFIC OR TO MAKE ARRESTS FOR VIOLATIONS OF ANY OF THE PROVISIONS OF THE MARYLAND VEHICLE LAW OR OF LOCAL OR OTHER TRAFFIC LAWS OR
REGULATIONS. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 66 1/2, §1-163. The short title "Maryland Vehicle Law" is
substituted for the present reference to "this
article"; see §11-206 of this title. The only other changes are in style. 11-148. REGULAR SCHEDULE. (A)    "REGULAR SCHEDULE" MEANS THE CARRIAGE OF
PROPERTY OR PASSENGERS BY AT LEAST: (1)   ONE SINGLE TRIP BETWEEN FIXED TERMINI PER
WEEK, FOR FOUR 4 CONSECUTIVE WEEKS; OR (2)    THREE SINGLE TRIPS BETWEEN FIXED TERMINI
WITHIN A PERIOD OF 10 DAYS. (B)   IF PROPERTY OR PASSENGERS ARE CARRIED BY ANY
VEHICLE AS DESCRIBED IN SUBSECTION (A) OF THIS SECTION,
ANY ONE OF THE DESCRIBED TRIPS IS A REGULAR SCHEDULE. (C)   THIS SECTION SHALL BE LIBERALLY CONSTRUED. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
