PROVISIONS.
SUBTITLE 1. DEFINITIONS
11-101. IN GENERAL.
IN THE MARYLAND VEHICLE LAW, THE FOLLOWING WORDS
HAVE THE MEANINGS INDICATED, UNLESS THE CONTEXT REQUIRES
OTHERWISE.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 66 1/2,
§1-101 (a) .
In this section and throughout Titles 11
through 27 of this article, the short title
"Maryland Vehicle Law" is substituted for
present references to "this article"; see
§11—206 of this title.
Present Art. 66 1/2, §1-101(b), which relates
to the applicability of these definitions in
disputed cases, now appears as §11-201 of this
title.
As to uniformity of interpretation, see,
§11-202 of this title.

11-102. ADMINISTRATION.
"ADMINISTRATION" MEANS THE MOTOR VEHICLE
ADMINISTRATION.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 66 1/2, §1-119.
The term "Department", which is defined in
present Art. 66 1/2, §1-119 as synonymous with
"Administration", is deleted as unnecessary
since all references in the Maryland Vehicle
Law to the former Department of Motor Vehicles
