AUTHORITY.
10-101. APPLICABILITY OF TITLE 5 DEFINITIONS,
A WORD USED IN THE COMPACT SET FORTH IN THIS
SUBTITLE, UNLESS THE CONTEXT CLEARLY REQUIRES OTHERWISE,
HAS THE SAME MEANING AS IS INDICATED BY A DEFINITION OF
THE WORD IN §5-101 OF THIS ARTICLE.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language added
to avoid unnecessary repetition of the various
definitions contained in former Art. 1A of the
Code, now appearing in §5—101 of this article.
Since the Compact originally was enacted as
part of former Art. 1A, these definitions
apparently were intended to apply to it. See,
e.g., §5-101 (e) ("aircraft") and §5-101(h)
("airport facility").
10-102. ENACTMENT OF COMPACT.
AN INTERSTATE COMPACT, SUBSTANTIALLY AS IT APPEARS
IN §10-103 OF THIS SUBTITLE, IS ENACTED INTO LAW AND
ENTERED INTO WITH THE STATE OF WEST VIRGINIA.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
from Section 3 of Ch. 253, Acts of 1976, and
patterned after somewhat similar provisions
appearing elsewhere in this article; see,
e.g., §§ 10-202 and 22-502 of this article.
Section 3 of Ch. 253, Acts of 1976, provides,
in full, that: "{T}his Act may not take effect
until a similar Act is passed by the State of
west Virginia; ... the State of West Virginia
is requested to concur in this Act of the
General Assembly of Maryland by the passage of
a similar Act; and ... thereupon the Governor
of the State of Maryland shall issue a
proclamation declaring this Act valid and
