MUNICIPAL CHARTERS
CHARTER AMENDMENT NO. 31 RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Council of Rockville adopted
pursuant to the authority of Article XI—E of the
Constitution of Maryland, Section 13 of Article 23A
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1973 Replacement
Volume), title "Corporations — Municipal" sub—title
"Home Rule", and Sections 72-17 to 72-23, inclusive,
of the Charter of the City of Rockville, as amended,
to amend the Charter of the City of Rockville, as
set forth in Sections 72—1 to 72—95 inclusive, of
the Montgomery County Code (1972 Edition), as
amended, to repeal Section 72-3(b) thereof and to
enact in its place, with amendments, a new Section
72—3(b) so as to reduce the age requirement for
election to the office of Mayor from thirty years of
age to twenty—five years of age and to reduce the
age requirement for election to the office of
councilman from twenty—five years of age to
twenty—one years of age, and to delete the reference
contained in such section to the number of
councilmen. [Section 72—3(b) of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Montgomery County, repealed and reenacted, with
amendments. Effective Date April 20, 1976]

Resolution No. 11-76 CHARTER AMENDMENT NO. 32 RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Council of Rockville adopted
pursuant to the authority of Article XI—E of the

to amend the Charter of the City of Rockville, as
set forth in Sections 72—1 to 72-95 inclusive, of

enact in its place, with amendments, a new Section
72—89 so as to increase the maximum time of
imprisonment for conviction of violations of City
ordinances from thirty days to ninety days and to
