of the Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article
23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, as
amended) to amend Section 53 entitled "Due Date of Taxes;
Date Unpaid Taxes are Delinquent, etc." said Section
being Section 5—53 of Subtitle 5 of Article 17 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1963 Edition, as
amended), which Article contains in whole or in part the
Charter of the City of Bowie, by repealing and reenacting
with amendment said Section 53 providing for the addition
of specific language changing the rate of interest on
past due City taxes to two—thirds of one per centum for
each month or fraction of a month until paid.
[Section 5-53 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County, repealed and reenacted, with
amendments.
Effective Date February 10, 1976]

CHARTER AMENDMENT RESOLUTION NO. R-14-75
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOWIE,
MARYLAND adopted pursuant to the authority of Article 11E
of the Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article
23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, as
amended) to amend Subsection b of Section 61 entitled
"Purchasing and Contracting" said Subsection being
Subsection b of Section 5—62 of Subtitle 5 of Article 17
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1963
Edition, as amended), which Article contains in whole or
in part the Charter of the City of Bowie, by repealing
and reenacting with amendment said Subsection b providing
for the addition of specific language authorizing the
City Council to waive bid requirements by two—thirds vote
of that body.
[Section 5—61(b) of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County, repealed and reenacted, with
amendments.
Effective Date February 10, 1976]
