of the primary function of the Commission, the
condemnation of property by "quick-take"
proceedings, as authorized by Art. III, §40B
of the Constitution. As to the   survey and advisory functions of the regional     members of the Commission, presently contained   in Art. 89B, §§1 and 3(b), see §2-205 of this article and its revisor's note.
SUBTITLE 3. ACQUISITION AND DISPOSITION OF PROPERTY.
PART I. DEFINITIONS; GENERAL PROVISIONS.
8-301. DEFINITIONS. (A)   IN GENERAL. IN THIS SUBTITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE
MEANINGS INDICATED. REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language used
as the standard introductory language to a
definition section. See, also, §§1-101 and 8-101 of this article
for other applicable definitions. (B)   COURT. "COURT" MEANS THE SUPERIOR COURT OF BALTIMORE CITY
OR THE CIRCUIT COURT FOR ANY OTHER COUNTY. REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language
derived without substantive change from Art.
89B, §9, and added to avoid unnecessary
repetition in this subtitle. (C)   LAND. "LAND" MEANS REAL PROPERTY OR ANY INTEREST IN IT. REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language
added for clarity and simplicity. (D)   PLAT. "PLAT" MEANS A PLAT OR A MAP. REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language
added to avoid unnecessary repetition in this
subtitle of the phrase "plat or map". 3-302. GENERAL POWER TO ACQUIRE PRIVATE PROPERTY.
