It is only fitting that we set aside a week in order
that these men will not be forgotten by the people for
whom they fought; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, That
this Body request the Governor, by executive
proclamation, to declare the week of January 23, as
"Missing in Action" Week; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to
the Honorable Marvin Mandel, Governor, the Honorable
Charles Mathias, the Honorable Paul Sarbanes, the
Honorable Robert Bauman, the Honorable Clarence Long, the
Honorable Barbara Mikulski, the Honorable Marjorie Holt,
the Honorable Gladys Spellman, the Honorable Goodloe
Byron, the Honorable Parren Mitchell and the Honorable
Newton Steers.
