MARVIN MANDEL, Governor
No. 4 (House Joint Resolution 33) A House Joint Resolution concerning Members of Armed Forces listed as
"Missing in Action" FOR the purpose of requesting the Governor to declare the
week of January 23 as "Missing in Action" Week; and
generally relating to those members of the Armed
Services still missing in action.
January 27 is the fourth anniversary of the Paris
Agreement which settled the Vietnam Conflict. There are
28 soldiers from Maryland still missing in action. It is only fitting that we set aside a week so that these young people will not be forgotten; now, therefore, be it January 27, 1977, is the fourth anniversary of the
Paris Agreement which settled the Vietnam Conflict.
However, there are American servicemen still missing in
action and unaccounted for as a result of that Conflict,
including the following 29 soldiers from Maryland: Lt. John Scott Albright - Camp Springs, Md. T/Sgt. James K. Caniford - Frederick, Md. Capt. Richard Cooper - Salisbury, Md. E/5 Thomas R. Dolan - Baltimore, Md. Capt. Morgan Donahue - Towson, Md. Capt. Brace Ducat - Bethesda, Md. S/Sgt. Robert Eliott — Gaithersburg S/Sgt. Stephen Geist - Silver Spring, Md. S/Sgt. Roger Hamilton — Baltimore, Md. Maj. Terrin Hicks - Silver Spring, Md. Capt. James M. Jefferson - Ellicott City, Md. Sgt. Vernon Johns - Baltimore, Md. Capt. Daniel Johnson — Derwood, Md. Capt. Thomas Kilculleen - Adelphi, Md.
