CHAPTER 974
(House Bill 1749)
AN ACT concerning
Unemployment Insurance Law Appeals
FOR the purpose of permitting the Unemployment Insurance
Law Board of Appeals, or referee, to determine
certain issues of fact.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 95A - Unemployment Insurance Law
Section 7(c)(ii)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1969 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 7(c)(ii) of Article 95A -
Unemployment Insurance Law, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be
and it is hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
Article 95A — Unemployment Insurance Law

(c) (ii) A determination shall be deemed final
unless a party entitled to notice thereof files an appeal
within [seven] 10 days after the notice was mailed to his
last known address, or otherwise delivered to him;
provided, that such period may be extended by the
[Executive Director] BOARD OF APPEALS, REFEREE, OR
HEARINGS OFFICER for good cause.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
