(H) CONTROL OF PUBLIC USE AREAS.
BY RULES OR REGULATIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE SAFETY
AND WELFARE OF THE TRAVELING PUBLIC, THE ADMINISTRATION
MAY GOVERN THE CONTROL AND USE OF REST AREAS, SCENIC
OVERLOOKS, ROADSIDE PICNIC AREAS, AND OTHER PUBLIC USE
AREAS WITHIN STATE HIGHWAY RIGHTS-OF-WAY.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears as
Art. 89B, §237(b).
The present reference to "interstate"
rights-of—way is deleted as superfluous, since
interstate highways are included in the State
highway system; see §8-101(i), (p), and (q) of
this title.
The only other changes are in style.
(I) OTHER DUTIES.
THE ADMINISTRATION SHALL PLAN, SELECT, CONSTRUCT,
IMPROVE, AND MAINTAIN THE STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM.

8-205. BOOKS AND RECORDS OF ADMINISTRATION.
(A) BOOKS AND RECORDS TO BE KEPT.
(1) THE ADMINISTRATION SHALL KEEP BOCKS THAT
SHOW IN DETAIL ALL EXPENDITURES MADE TO ESTABLISH OR
IMPROVE HIGHWAYS IN SHIS STATE OR TO PERFORM ANY OTHER OF
ITS DUTIES.
(2) THE ADMINISTRATION SHALL COMPILE AND
PUBLISH ANNUALLY AND SHALL KEEP COPIES OF MAPS, PLANS,
AND STATISTICS THAT SHOW THE PROGRESS AND STATUS OF WORK
