AN ACT concerning
Hunting Licenses - Exemptions
FOR the purpose of providing that certain persons are
exempt from the hunting license requirements for
certain purposes; and clarifying language.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article - Natural Resources
Section 10-301(b)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 10-301(b) of Article - Natural
Resources, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume
and 1976 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
Article - Natural Resources
10-301.
(b) [A] THE FOLLOWING PERSONS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO
OBTAIN A hunter's license [is not required of the
following]:
(1) [The] WITH RESPECT TO HUNTING ON FARMLAND
ONLY:
(I) THE owner [or tenant] of THE
farmland [, is] AND THE OWNER'S spouse [and], children,
AND CHILDREN'S SPOUSE [or the spouse of any child of];
AND
(II) a tenant [who resides on the
farmland. This exemption applies only to hunting on
farmland.] AND THE TENANT'S SPOUSE, CHILDREN, AND, IF
RESIDING ON THE FARMLAND, CHILDREN'S SPOUSE. A tenant is
a person holding land under a lease, or a sharecropper
who resides in a dwelling on the land, but it does not
include any employee of the owner or tenant;
