LAWS OF MARYLAND
[The Governor may require any legislative agent and
his employer to file the report required in § 10 of this
article at any time prior to May 31.] (A)    THE SECRETARY OF STATE SHALL MAINTAIN AND MAKE
AVAILABLE A SUBTOTAL UNDER EACH OF THE NINE REQUIRED
CATEGORIES IN SECTION 10(A)(2) OF THIS SUBTITLE FOR ALL
REGISTRANTS, AND A SUBTOTAL REPRESENTING THE COMBINED
TOTAL OF SECTION 10(A)(2) SUBPARAGRAPHS (VI), (VII), AND
(VIII) FOR ALL REGISTRANTS. THE SECRETARY OF STATE SHALL
ALSO PROVIDE THE FIGURE REPRESENTING THE TOTAL AMOUNT
REPORTED BY ALL REGISTRANTS FOR THEIR LOBBYING ACTIVITIES
DURING THE REPORTING PERIOD. (B)    THE SECRETARY OF STATE SHALL MAINTAIN AND MAKE
AVAILABLE A SUBTOTAL UNDER EACH OF THE THREE CATEGORIES
IN SECTION 13(B) OF THIS SUBTITLE FOR ALL EXECUTIVE
BRANCH LOBBYISTS, THE SECRETARY SHALL ALSO PROVIDE THE
FIGURE REPRESENTING THE TOTAL AMOUNT REPORTED BY ALL
EXECUTIVE BRANCH LOBBYISTS FOR ALL EXECUTIVE AGENCY
LOBBYING ACTIVITIES DURING A REPORTING PERIOD. (C)    (1) IN THE EVENT THAT ANY REPORT FILED WITH THE SECRETARY OF STATE CONTAINS THE NAME OF AN OFFICIAL OR MEMBER OF AN OFFICIAL'S IMMEDIATE FAMILY EITHER IN THE
LEGISLATIVE OR EXECUTIVE BRANCH, AS REQUIRED UNDER SECTIONS 10(A)(3) AND 13(B) (2) OF THIS ARTICLE, THE SECRETARY OF STATE SHALL NOTIFY SUCH OFFICIAL WITHIN 30 DAYS. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN §12(C)(2) OF THIS ARTICLE, THE SECRETARY SHALL KEEP THE REPORT CONFIDENTIAL FOR 30 DAYS FOLLOWING THE RECEIPT OF IT.
(2) FOLLOWING NOTIFICATION OF THE INCLUSION OF THE NAME OF AN OFFICIAL IN THE LEGISLATIVE OR EXECUTIVE BRANCH IN THE REPORT FILED BY A LOBBYIST SUCH OFFICIAL SHALL HAVE 60 30 DAYS TO FILE A WRITTEN EXCEPTION TO THE INCLUSION OF HIS OR HER NAME. 13.
[Any person who violates any provisions of this
subtitle is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
for each offense he shall be fined not more than one
thousand dollars, or imprisoned for not more than 6
months, or both. The Secretary of State, upon
information, may refer to the appropriate State's
Attorney any apparent violation. ] (A) ALL EXECUTIVE BRANCH LOBBYISTS SHALL REGISTER
WITH THE SECRETARY OF STATE ON OF BEFORE JANUARY 10 OF
EACH YEAR, OR NOT LATER THAN FIVE DAYS AFTER FIRST
PERFORMING ANY ACT REQUIRING REGISTRATION AS AN EXECUTIVE
BRANCH LOBBYIST UNDER THIS SUBTITLE. REGISTRATION SHALL
BE ON A FORM PROVIDED BY THE SECRETARY CONTAINING THE
FOLLOWING INFORMATION:
(1) THE REGISTRANT'S NAME AND PERMANENT
