sentence of Art. 4 1, §207F(b). It is set forth as a separate section for emphasis. 8-202. STATE HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATOR. (A) POSITION AND APPOINTMENT. THE HEAD OF THE ADMINISTRATION IS THE STATE HIGHWAY
ADMINISTRATOR, WHO SHALL BE APPOINTED BY THE SECRETARY
WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE GOVERNOR. (3) RESPONSIBILITY TO SECRETARY; DUTIES. (1)   THE ADMINISTRATOR SERVES AT THE PLEASURE
OF THE SECRETARY AND SHALL REPORT DIRECTLY TO HIM. (2)     SUBJECT TO THE AUTHORITY OF THE
SECRETARY, THE ADMINISTRATOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CARRYING
OUT: (I)         THE POWERS AND DUTIES VESTED BY LAW IN THE ADMINISTRATION, EXCEPT THOSE POWERS AND DUTIES THAT
ARE VESTED IN THE STATE ROADS COMMISSION BY ARTICLE III,
§40B OF THE STATE CONSTITUTION; AND (II) THOSE POWERS AND DUTIES VESTED IN THE SECRETARY AND DELEGATED TO THE ADMINISTRATOR BY THE
SECRETARY. (C) SALARY. THE ADMINISTRATOR IS ENTITLED TO THE SALARY PROVIDED
IN THE STATE BUDGET. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 41,
§207F(b) — except for the first sentence of
that section, which new appears as §8-201 of
this subtitle. Subsection (b) (2)(ii) of this section is new
language added to conform to similar
provisions in this article as to the various
other Administrators in the Department. (See,
e.g., §§ 5-202 (b) and 6-202(b) of this
article.) The provisions of present §207F (b) that state
the composition of the Administration as
consisting of the "office of State Highway
Administrator", the "State Roads Commission",
and "such other units of the Department ... as
may hereafter pursuant to law be declared to
be part of the ... Administration" are deleted
as redundant or otherwise unnecessary in light
