SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 11(a) and 11(i) of Article 32 -
Dentistry, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1976
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and they are
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 32 - Dentistry
11.
(a) Following a hearing as hereafter provided, the
Board may revoke or suspend for [such] A period [as] THAT
the Board in its sole discretion [may determine]
DETERMINES, the license of any dentist licensed to
practice in this State, or may refuse to restore or
reinstate any suspended license of any dentist upon a
finding by the Board that the dentist or former licensee
whose license was revoked or suspended:
(i) Has violated §§ 12 [or], 16 OR 20B of this
article;

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 20B be and it is hereby added to Article 32 —
Dentistry, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1976
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) to read as
follows:
Article 32 - Dentistry
20B.
(A) FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS SECTION, THE TERM
"SUPERVISION" MEANS THAT THE LICENSED DENTIST IS IN THE
DENTAL OFFICE, DENTAL CLINIC, HOSPITAL, SCHOOL,
CHARITABLE INSTITUTION, OR HEALTH MAINTENANCE
ORGANIZATION INVOLVED, AND REMAINS THEREIN AVAILABLE FOR
PERSONAL CONSULTATION WITH THE DENTAL HYGIENIST WHILE THE
