Article 78B - Racing Commission Section 19(A)(3) Annotated Code of Maryland (1975 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 19(A)(3) of Article 78B - Racing
Commission, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1975
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows: Article 78B - Racing Commission 19. (A) All sums collected by the Racing Commission,
under the provisions of this article, shall be paid over
to the Comptroller and shall be disbursed and
distributed, except where otherwise provided, as follows: (3) From all revenues collected from licensees
licensed under §§ 15 and 17 of this article, the
Comptroller shall pay to the Maryland State Fair Board a
sum equal to [$314,000] $414,000 less the sum received by
the Maryland State Fair Board under § 17 of this article,
to be used for the promotion of State and county
agricultural fairs and exhibits; and from the fiscal year
commencing July 1, 1977 and in each of the four
consecutive fiscal years after it, the comptroller shall
pay to the Maryland State Fair Board the additional sum
of one million dollars to be disbursed by the Board to
the Maryland State Fair and Agricultural Society, Inc.,
as a State grant to assist in financing the construction,
expansion, relocation, replacement and modernization of
the facilities and equipment used or to be used by the
Maryland State Fair and Agricultural Society, Inc., in
conducting the Maryland State Fair.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977. Approved May 26, 1977.
