SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 3-831 (c) of Article - Courts and
Judicial Proceedings, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is hereby
repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
Article — Courts and Judicial Proceedings
3-831.
(b) A person may [not] be convicted under this
section [unless] EVEN IF the child has NOT been
adjudicated delinquent, in need of supervision, or in
need of assistance. However, the court may expunge [the]
A DELINQUENT adjudication from the child's record and
enter it as a finding in the adult's case.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
