SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 28(g) of Article 25 - County
Commissioners, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1973
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 25 - County Commissioners
28.
(g) The [expense account allowance] ANNUAL SALARY
for the County Commissioners of Somerset County shall be
as provided in Article 20 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (being those of Somerset County) in lieu
of any [expenses] COMPENSATION OR MILEAGE for which
provision [was IS made by this section.
SECTION 2. AND 1. BE IT FURTHER ENACTED BY THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, That Section SECTIONS 9 and
301 of the Public Local Laws of Somerset County being
Article 20 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland (1963
Edition and 1967 Supplement, as amended by Chapter
Chapters 190 and 342 of the Acts of 1971) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 20
9.
There shall be ARE five County Commissioners for
Somerset County, who shall hold office for four year
YEARS, and until their successors shall be ARE elected
and qualified. Each of the commissioners shall receive
an annual salary of [$1,500.00] $2,750. Also, there
shall be an expense account for each commissioner in the
amount of $125.00 per month which shall cover all
TRAVELING expenses of each member FROM HIS HOME TO THE
COUNTY COURTHOUSE AND RETURN AND NECESSARY FOOD EXPENSES.
, except for THEY ALSO SHALL RECEIVE mileage and expenses
relating to out-of—County trips,[ , and to be payable
monthly in the amount of $125.00] $5,500.
301.
The members of the County Roads Board for Somerset
County shall each receive, in addition to their
compensation as County Commissioners, a salary of
[fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500)] 32,750 annually as a
member of the County Roads Board; and in consideration of
the additional services to be performed by him under this
subheading, the County Treasurer [of Somerset County]
shall receive a salary of [six hundred dollars ($600.00)]
$600 annually; and the County Roads Board will meet
concurrently with the County Commissioners of Somerset
