1973. The Board of County Commissioners and the Board of
Supervisors of Elections of Somerset County shall do
those things necessary and proper to provide for and hold
the referendum here required. There shall be printed on
the ballots or ballot labels to be used at this election
the title of this Act and underneath the title, on
separate lines, a square or box to the right of and
opposite the words: "For Elected School Board" and a
corresponding square or box to the right of and opposite
the words "Against Elected School Board" so that each
voter of the county may designate his or her decision for
or against the provisions of this Act. If a majority of
the votes cast in the election are "For Elected School
Board" the provisions of this Act shall become effective
on July 1, 1980, but if a majority of the votes cast in
the election are "Against Elected School Board" the
provisions of this Act shall be of no effect and null and
void.

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.

AN ACT concerning
Washington County - Property Tax Exemption
Credit - Civic Associations
FOR the purpose of exempting from county property tax
only, all real and personal property owned by
Washington County local civic associations, and used
primarily for civic purposes; and presenting certain
material for informational purposes authorizing
Washington County to grant a property tax credit
from local taxes for the property of civic
associations; and changing the order of arrangement
of other property tax credits in Washington County.
