upon which funds provided by this Act are expended may be
used for sectarian instruction, religious worship, or any other religious activity. (3)    The payment of any funds under the provisions
of this Act for the purpose of constructing, renovating,
rehabilitating, improving, and equipping the General
German Children's Home operated by the General German
Orphan Association of the State of Maryland, Inc., shall
be contingent upon the provisions provision by the
General German Orphan Association of the State of
Maryland, Inc., of a sum up to $525,000 as an equal and
matching fund for this project from private and other
public sources. The said General German Orphan
Association of the State of Maryland, Inc., shall have
until June 1, 1979, to present evidence satisfactory to
the Board of Public Works of the sum that it has raised
as an equal and matching fund for the purpose of
constructing, renovating, rehabilitating, improving, and
equipping the General German Children's Home. Upon
receiving from the Board of Public Works a certification
of such suitable evidence on or before June 1, 1979, the
Treasurer of the State is hereby authorized, empowered
and directed to proceed to spend the proceeds of said
loan, or any portion thereof equal and matching the sum
raised by the General German Orphan Association of the
State of Maryland, Inc., agreeably to the other
provisions of this Act. If such satisfactory evidence of
the raising of a sum up to $525,000 as an equal and
matching fund for this project is not presented to the
Board of Public Works on or before June 1, 1979, no funds
under the provisions of this Act shall thereafter be paid
over to or expended for the purpose of constructing,
renovating, rehabilitating, improving, and equipping the
General German Children's Home operated by the General
German Orphan Association of the State of Maryland, Inc.
and the remaining proceeds of the loan shall be
transferred to the Annuity Bond Fund and applied to the
debt service requirements of the State. (4)    There is hereby levied and imposed an annual
State tax on all assessable property in the State in rate
and amount sufficient to pay the principal of and
interest on the bonds as and when due and until paid in
full, such principal to be discharged within fifteen
years of the date of issue of the bonds. (5)    This Act shall take effect June 1, 1977.
