SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 2-101, 2-202, 2-302(a), 2-401,
2-502, 4-105(a), and 10-403 of Article - Agriculture, of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume and 1976
Supplement) be and they are hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
Article - Agriculture
2-101.
[The] THERE IS A Department of Agriculture [is
created and continued], ESTABLISHED as a principal
department of the State government.
2-202.
[The] THERE IS A Maryland Agricultural Commission
[is created and continued within] IN the Department. It
shall formulate and make proposals for the advancement of
Maryland agriculture by serving as an advisory tody to
the Secretary on matters pertaining to agriculture.
2-302.
(a) [The] THERE IS A State Board of Veterinary
Medical Examiners [is created and continued within] IN
the Department.
2-401.
[The] THERE IS A Board of Review of the Department
[of Agriculture is created and continued].
2-502.
[The] THERE IS A Maryland Agricultural Land
Preservation Foundation [is created within] IN the
Department. The Foundation has the powers and duties
provided in this subtitle.
4-105.
(a) [The] THESE IS A Wholesome Meat Advisory
Council [is created], ESTABLISHED to broaden
