AN ACT concerning
Department of Agriculture - Farmer
Disaster Loan Program
FOR the purpose of creating the Farmer Disaster Loan
Financing Program within the Department of
Agriculture; authorizing the Department to make
direct disaster loans to certain farmers;
designating the source of funding the Program;
establishing certain eligibility criteria for the
loans; granting the Department certain authority,
including the authority to adopt rules and standards
relating to the Program; providing for a certain
reimbursement; prohibiting certain false statements
and providing penalties therefor; and establishing a
new subtitle in the Code.
BY adding to
Article - Agriculture
Section 2-601 through 2-605, inclusive, to be under
the new subtitle "Subtitle 6. Farmer
Disaster Loan Program"

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Sections 2-601 through 2-605,
inclusive, to be under the new subtitle "Subtitle 6.
Farmer Disaster Loan Program" be and they are hereby
added to Article — Agriculture, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1974 Volume and 1976 Supplement) to read as
follows:
