AN ACT concerning
Public Higher Education - Solicitors for
Private Out—of—State Schools
FOR the purpose of clarifying the duty of the State Board
of Education and the State Board for Higher
Education to issue permits to persons who solicit
students to enroll in or apply for a course of
instruction offered by certain private institutions;
defining and clarifying the applicability of this
subtitle concerning permits for solicitors;
providing exceptions; and correcting language.
FOR the purpose of requiring solicitors for certain
private postsecondary schools to obtain a permit in
certain instances from the State Board of Higher
Education; specifying procedures for this
application, fees, length of permit, and renewal
provisions; allowing the State Board of Higher
Education to revoke the permit and to hear appeals
on the revocation; repealing certain provisions of
Article 77 relating to solicitors for certain
nonpublic schools; and correcting language.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 146 Sections 146 through 150 of
Article 77 - Public Education, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1975 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be
