3086                                    LAWS OF MARYLAND                            Ch. 765 3-804. (d) The court does not have jurisdiction over: (2) A child 16 years old or older alleged to have done an act in violation of any provision of the [State] MARYLAND Vehicle Law or any other traffic law or ordinance, except when the charge is manslaughter by automobile, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, tampering with a motor vehicle, or driving while INTOXICATED, WHILE impaired, or WHILE under the influence
of [alcohol or] drugs OR DRUGS AND ALCOHOL; (e) If the child is charged with two or more violations of the [State] MARYLAND Vehicle Law, another traffic law or ordinance, or the State Boat Act, allegedly arising out of the same incident and which would result in the child being brought before both the court and a court exercising criminal jurisdiction, the
court has exclusive jurisdiction over all of the charges. 3-824. (a) An adjudication of a child pursuant to this
subtitle is not criminal conviction for any purpose and
does not impose any of the civil disabilities ordinarily
imposed by a criminal conviction. However, an
adjudication of a child as delinquent by reason of his
violation of the State Vehicle Laws shall, upon order of
the court, be reported by the clerk of the court to the
Motor Vehicle Administration, who may assess points
against the child [pursuant to article 66 1/2, § 6—402]
UNDER TITLE 16, SUBTITLE 4 OF THE TRANSPORTATION ARTICLE,
in the same manner and to the same effect as if the child
had been convicted of the offense. SECTION 24. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section
Sections 5-209 (d) (1) and 8-710.1(c) of Article - Natural
Resources, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is they are hereby repealed and reanacted, with amendments, to read as
follows: Article - Natural Resources 5-209. (d) (1) No person [shall] MAY sell, [or] offer for
sale, distribute, or lease any new motor-driven
off-highway recreational vehicle THAT IS of a type not
subject to registration under [Article 66 1/2 of this
Code] THE MARYLAND VEHICLE LAW AND that has a maximum
sound level potential exceeding the sound level limits
established by the Department for the maximum allowable
noise emissions from such vehicles.
