the same manner] CITATION as [is] provided in [Article 66
1/2, § 321 of the Annotated Code of Maryland] TITLE 26 OF
THE TRANSPORTATION ARTICLE and upon conviction thereof
shall be punished by a fine of not more than one thousand
dollars ($1,000.00) or by imprisonment in the county jail
for not more than six (6) months, or by both such fine
and imprisonment. 181. No motor vehicle for which a permit is required from
the Public Service Commission under Article 78, § 32,
[shall] MAY be registered by the [Commissioner of Motor
Vehicles] MOTOR VEHICLE ADMINISTRATION except in
accordance with this subtitle. 182. Any applicant for registration of such a vehicle
shall present to the [Commissioner of Motor Vehicles]
MOTOR VEHICLE ADMINISTRATION the permit required by the
Public Service Commission law, at the time prescribed by
law for [flaking application] APPLYING for registration
[tags] in the case of all other motor vehicles, and shall
[make application] APPLY in writing for registration with
the [Commissioner of Motor Vehicles] ADMINISTRATION as
provided in this subtitle. 183. The application for registration of every such
vehicle shall state, in addition to such other
information as may be required by law: (a) The route on
which such vehicle is to be used; (b) whether reserve or
substitute motor vehicles are maintained by the applicant
to be used only in emergencies, and if so, the number of
such reserve and substitute meter vehicles and a complete
description of each (such motor vehicles when in use to
be designated by a special marker to be furnished by the
[Commissioner of Motor Vehicles] MOTOR VEHICLE
ADMINISTRATION); (c) the length of the route in miles on
State, State-aid, improved county reads, and streets and
roads of incorporated towns and cities in the State of
Maryland, respectively; (d) the weight of the vehicle
when empty; and (e) the schedule under which the vehicle
shall be operated. The application for registration of
any such passenger vehicle shall also state the seating
capacity for passengers of said vehicle; and the
application for any such vehicle for the transportation
of property or freight shall state the carrying capacity
as given by the manufacturer of such vehicle. 184. (a) For each passenger meter vehicle registered
upon application as provided by the preceding sections of
this subtitle, an annual fee shall be paid to the
[Commissioner of Motor Vehicles] MOTOR VEHICLE
