BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Article - Natural Resources Section 4-1017 Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume and 1976 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 4-1016 of Article - Natural
Resources, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume
and 1976 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed: Article - Natural Resources [4-1016. (a)    Any person engaging in the business of buying
oysters from a person who catches oysters from natural
oyster bars in the State shall secure from the Department
an oyster buyer's license. The annual license fee is
$50. Every person who applies for a license shall prove
he owns each boat, vessel, or vehicle used in the
business of buying from any person catching oysters from
natural oyster bars in the State. (b)    Every boat, vessel, or vehicle used by a
licensed oyster buyer in purchasing oysters shall be
licensed annually at a fee of $5 for each boat, vessel,
or vehicle. Proof of ownership of the boat, vessel, or
vehicle is required. The Department shall issue a plate
or tag carrying the license number for each boat, vessel,
or vehicle license and it shall be attached securely to
the boat, vessel, or vehicle for which it is issued. The
fee is $1 to replace any license tag issued pursuant to
the provisions of this section. (c)    The license provided by this section is valid
from September 1 of the issuing year to August 31 of the
succeeding year, inclusive. The license required by this
section is in addition to any other license required by
the provisions of this subtitle. (d)    Any person who purchases less than 25 bushels
of oysters during any license year is not required to
obtain a license for himself or any boat, vessel, or
