SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 755 be and it is hereby added to Article 43 —
Health, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) to read as
follows:
Article 43 - Health
755.
(A) THE AUDIT REQUIRED BY CHAPTER 256, 1970 ACTS
OF MARYLAND TO BE CONDUCTED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE GREATER LAUREL HOSPITAL AUTHORITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
ENDING JUNE 30, 1977 IS THE FINAL AUDIT OF THE AUTHORITY.
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS SHALL BE CONTINUED IN ORDER TO
PERFORM THE REQUIRED AUDIT, WHICH SHALL BE COMPLETED NO
LATER THAN OCTOBER 1, 1977.
(B) ANY FUNDS HELD BY THE GREATER LAUREL HOSPITAL
AUTHORITY AS OF JUNE 30, 1977 REVERT TO THE GENERAL FUNDS
OF THE STATE.

shall take effect July 1, 1977.

CHAPTER 736
(Senate Bill 985)
AN ACT concerning
Agriculture - Cooperatives
FOR the purpose of eliminating the requirement that the
Secretary of Agriculture review annual reports of
agricultural cooperatives; and requiring the
certification, by the C.P.A. conducting the audit of
the cooperatives financial status, to the Secretary
of Agriculture that the audit was conducted in
accordance with generally accepted accounting
standards.
