WHO IS CONVICTED OF A SEXUAL OFFENSE UNDER SECTION 464 OR 464A OF THIS ARTICLE EITHER AS A PRINCIPAL OR AIDER OR ABETTOR SHALL BE SENTENCED TO A SENTENCE TO RUN CONSECUTIVE TO THE SENTENCE UNDER WHICH THE INMATE IS SERVING AT THE TIKE OF THE COMMISSION OF THE OFFENSE. (B) THE PROVISIONS OF SUBSECTION (A) OF THIS
STATUTE ALSO APPLY TO ANY INMATE OF THE BALTIMORE CITY
JAIL OR OF ANY JAILS OF THE VARIOUS COUNTIES OF THIS
STATE, OR ANY OTHER PLACE OF DETENTION, INCLUDING ALL
PERSONS BEING HELD FOR BAIL HEARINGS, ARRAIGNMENTS, AND
FOR TRIAL. AS TO ALL DETAINED PERSONS WHO HAVE NOT BEEN
TRIED, CONVICTED, AND SENTENCED AS OF THE TIME OF THE
COMMISSION OF THE OFFENSE OR OFFENSES PROVIDED IN
SUBSECTION (A) OF THIS SECTION, ANY SENTENCE EVENTUALLY
IMPOSED FOR THE OFFENSE FOR WHICH THAT PERSON WAS BEING
HELD FOR BAIL, ARRAIGNMENT, OR TRIAL SHALL BE SERVED
CONSECUTIVELY TO THE SENTENCE IMPOSED UNDER THIS SECTION.
(C) ANY CUSTODIAL OFFICER OF ANY PENAL OR TREATMENT INSTITUTION ADMINISTERED BY THE DIVISION OF CORRECTION WHO KNOWS, OR HAS REASON TO BELIEVE, THAT AN ASSAULT OF THE NATURE WHICH IS DESCRIBED IN SUBSECTION (A) OF THIS STATUTE IS PLANNED, OR IS THEN ACTUALLY OCCURRING, OR HAS OCCURRED, AND WHO FAILS TO COME TO THE ASSISTANCE OF THE VICTIM OR VICTIMS OF THAT ASSAULT, IS GUILTY OF A FELONY, AND AND UPON CONVICTION, SHALL BE SENTENCED TO IMPRISONMENT FOR NOT LESS THAN TEN YEARS.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977. Approved May 26, 1977.

AN ACT concerning
Allegany County - Alcoholic Beverages
(Special Permits)
FOR the purpose of removing changing the limit on the
issuance of special permits in Allegany County to
sell beer, wine and liquor; prohibiting certain
wholesaler licensees from selling liquor in certain size containers to certain permit holders; prohibiting certain permit holders from purchasing or possessing certain liquor; making ineligible certain license holders for a certain permit; generally relating to alcoholic beverage licenses in
Allegany County; and clarifying language.
