SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 195 of the Acts of
1973, as amended by Chapter 563 of the Acts of 1975, be
and they are hereby waived insofar as they impose a time
for placing under contract the following projects in
Section 5 of said Chapter 195:
Division of Correction - Design and preparation of
detailed plans and specifications for construction of a
maximum security institution, $500,000, Section
5(K)(1)(c) of Chapter 195 and found on page 300 of the
Laws of 1973; and as amended by Chapter 772 found on page
2129 of the Acts of 1976 providing for a medium security
institution;
Maryland State Police - Acquisition of land and
preparation of preliminary plans and specifications for
construction of the Golden Ring Barracks, $50,000,
Section 5(M)(2) of Chapter 195 and found on page 303 of
the Laws of 1973;
Morgan State University - Installation of street
lighting for South Campus, $50,000, Section 5(P)(5)(f) of
Chapter 195 and found on page 312 of the Laws of 1973;
Department of Economic and Community Development -
St. Mary's City Commission — Preparation of preliminary
plans and specifications for construction of a Visitor
Center Complex, $12,500, Section 5(T)(1)(a) of Chapter
195 and found on page 315 of the Laws of 1973. The
aforementioned items are described by reference, but
every such reference shall be deemed to include the full
description of the item as set forth in the respective
sections of Chapter 195 of the Laws of 1973. There shall
be allowed an additional period of two years beginning on
the effective date of this Act, for placing the
aforementioned projects under contract. If said
projects, or any of them shall not have been placed under
contract within a period of two years beginning on the
effective date of this Act, then, as to any such project
not so placed under contract, it shall be deemed to have
been abandoned, and the other provisions of Section 10 of
Chapter 195 of the Laws of 1973 shall be fully effective
as to such project.
SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 886 of the Acts of
1975 be and they are hereby waived insofar as they impose
a time for placing under contract the following projects
in Section 5 of said Chapter 886:
Board of Public Works — State's share for site
acquisition, design and preparation of detailed plans and
specifications for the construction of a multi-service
center in Centreville, Queen Anne's County, $280,000,
Section 5 A3(a) of Chapter 886 and found on pages
3618-3619 of the Laws of 1975;
