LAWS OF MARYLAND
restoration of the Anne Arundel Free School; to an
item in said act for Department of Economic and
Community Development, Maryland Historical Trust,
for grant to the Johns Hopkins University; to an
item in said act for Department of Economic and
Community Development, Maryland Historical Trust,
for restoration and preparation for exhibit of the
Drum Point Lighthouse and development of the Calvert
Marine Museum; to an item in said act for Department
of Economic and Community Development, Maryland
Historical Trust, for repairs, including
stabilization for the purpose of the preservation of
the historic Casselman Bridge; to an item in said
act for Department of Economic and Community
Development, St. Mary's City Commission, for grant
for construction of a typical 17th century domestic
dwelling.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the provisions of Section 10 of Chapter
425 of the Acts of 1971, as amended by Chapter 284 of the
Acts of 1973, and Section 10 of Chapter 886 of the Acts
of 1975, be and they are hereby waived insofar as they
impose a time for placing under contract the items
contained in Section 5 (K) (5) (j) in said Chapter 425 and
found on page 929 of the Laws of 1971, making available
$99,900 for the University of Maryland, for Eastern Shore
Campus for renovation of the third floor of the
Administration Building, and in Section 5F4(c) in said
Chapter 886 and found on page 3640 of the Laws of 1975,
making available $698,100 for University of Maryland, for
Eastern Shore Campus, to supplement the appropriation
"Renovation of the Third Floor of the Administration
Building" as shown on page 929 of the Laws of 1971. The
aforementioned items are described by reference, but
every such reference shall be deemed to include the full
description of the item as set forth in the respective
sections of Chapter 425 of the Laws of 1971 and Chapter
886 of the Laws of 1975. There shall be allowed an
additional period of two years beginning on the effective
date of this Act, for placing the aforementioned projects
under contract. If said projects, or any of them shall
not have been placed under contract within a period of
two years beginning on the effective date of this Act,
then, as to any such project not so placed under
contract, it shall be deemed to have been abandoned, and
the other provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 425 of the
Laws of 1971 and Section 10 of Chapter 886 of the Laws of
1975 shall be fully effective as to such project. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
provisions of Section 10 of Chapter 179 of the Acts of
1972 and Section 10 of Chapter 886 of the Acts of 1975 be
and they are hereby waived insofar as they impose a time
for placing under contract the items contained in Section
5(L)(5)(c) in said Chapter 179 and found on pages 515-516
of the Laws of 1972, making available $25,000 to the
