|
OTHER than that designated in the license[, but].
(B) [the Administrator of Loan Laws] THE
COMMISSIONER OF CONSUMER CREDIT may issue more than one
license to the licensee [upon the] ON payment of [an]
additional INVESTIGATION AND license [fee] FEES and the
filing of an additional bond for each license.
(C) [Nothing in this section shall be construed to]
THIS SECTION DOES NOT prohibit the making of loans by
mail at the request of [the individual] ANY borrower, as
an accommodation to [such individual] THE borrower by
reason of sickness, [or] hours of employment, OR OTHER
SUCH SITUATIONS, subject however to the provisions of
this article [and rules and regulations promulgated by
the Administrator of Loan Laws].
10.
[Whenever the] IF A licensee [shall] WANTS TO change
his place of business, he shall [at once] give PRIOR
written notice thereof to the [Administrator of Loan
Laws, ] COMMISSIONER OF CONSUMER CREDIT, who, IF HE
APPROVES OF THE CHANGE, shall attach to the license his
consent in writing to [such] THE change.
11.
(a) The [Administrator of Loan Laws] COMMISSIONER
OF CONSUMER CREDIT, for the purpose of discovering
violations of this article, may either personally or by
any person designated by him, at any time and as often as
he [may desire] DESIRES, investigate the leans and
business of every licensee and of every OTHER person[,
copartnership, and corporation] by whom or for which any
[such] loan [shall be] IS made, whether [such] THAT
person[, copartnership or corporation shall act, or
claim] ACTS OR CLAIMS to act as principal, agent, or
broker, or under[,] or without the authority of this
article[; and for that purpose he shall have]. FOR THIS
PURPOSE, THE COMMISSIONER SHALL BE GIVEN free access to
the books, papers, records, safes, and vaults of all
[such] THESE persons[, copartnerships and corporations;
he shall] AND also [have authority to] MAY examine, under
oath, all persons [whomsoever,] whose testimony he may
require[,] relative to [such] THESE loans or business.
(b) The [Administrator of Loan Laws] COMMISSIONER
shall prepare and promulgate rules and regulations
pursuant to the Administrative Procedure Act of Maryland
and shall conduct all proceedings in accordance with
[such] THAT act, except as otherwise provided in this
article.
(c) [The Administrator of Loan Laws shall have, in]
IN addition to all other powers conferred [upon] ON him
by this article, the [power to] COMMISSIONER MAY issue
orders directed to a licensee to cease and desist from a
