Police".        Conforming legislation sight be appropriate. 6-211. CONTROL OF MOTOR VEHICLES AT PORT FACILITIES. (A) ADOPTION OF RULES AND REGULATIONS. THE ADMINISTRATION MAY ADOPT AND ENFORCE RULES AND
REGULATIONS FOR THE PARKING AND OPERATION OF MOTOR
VEHICLES IN AND ON ITS PORT FACILITIES. (B) SCOPE OF RULES AND REGULATIONS. THE RULES AND REGULATIONS SHALL: (1)   BE REASONABLE NECESSARY FOR THE SAFETY OF
PERSONS AND PROPERTY OR FOR THE EFFICIENT OPERATION OF
THE PORT FACILITIES; AND (2)    INCLUDE PROCEDURES FOR THE VOLUNTARY
PAYMENT OF FINES DIRECTLY TO THE ADMINISTRATION IN
UNCONTESTED PARKING CASES. (C)   ADMINISTRATION POLICE MAY ISSUE CITATIONS. THE MARYLAND PORT ADMINISTRATION POLICE FORCE MAY
ISSUE CITATIONS FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE MOTOR VEHICLE
REGULATIONS ADOPTED UNDER THIS SECTION. (D)   PENALTIES. (1)     ANY PERSON WHO VIOLATES A PARKING
REGULATION ADOPTED UNDER THIS SECTION IS SUBJECT TO A
FINE NOT EXCEEDING $50. A VIOLATION OF A PARKING
REGULATION IS NOT A MISDEMEANOR. (2)   ANY PERSON WHO VIOLATES ANY OTHER RULE OR
REGULATION ADOPTED UNDER THIS SECTION IS GUILTY OF A
MISDEMEANOR AND ON CONVICTION IS SUBJECT TO A FINE NOT
EXCEEDING $500. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 62B, §5(f)--except for the first clause
of that section, which now appears as
§6-205(c) of this subtitle. The only changes are in style. As to the exercise of the powers granted by
this section, see §6-203(b) of this subtitle. The General Assembly nay wish to compare the
penalties provided in this section with those
contained in §5—427 of this article and
consider conferring their respective
provisions.
