AN ACT concerning
Maryland—National Capital Park and Planning Commission
(Lands Held for the General Benefit)

FOR the purpose of allowing certain land titled in the
name of the State or the Maryland—National Capital
Park and Planning Commission to be held by the State
or the Commission for the benefit of citizens of the
State; and requiring approval of the Commission for
discontinuance of use of that land or conveyance by
the State to title to that land.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 66D — Maryland—National Capital Park and
Planning Commission

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 5-107 of Article 66D -
Maryland—National Capital Park and Planning Commission,
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement
Volume and. 1976 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed
and reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
Article 66D — Maryland-National Capital Park and
Planning Commission
5-107.
Lands acquired under this [title] ARTICLE, title to
which shall become vested in the State of Maryland OR THE
MARYLAND-NATIONAL CAPITAL PARK AND PLANNING COMMISSION,
shall be held by the State OR THE COMMISSION for the
general benefit of the citizens of the State of Maryland
and especially for the benefit of the citizens and
residents of Montgomery and Prince George's counties[,]
within the metropolitan district. Title to the lands may
not be conveyed BY [out of] the State, nor may such use
