the county executive may, with the approval of the
majority of the members of the county council of his
county, remove any member of the commission appointed
from his county prior to the completion of the
commissioner's term. IN ADDITION, A MAJORITY OF THE
MEMBERS OF THE MONTGOMERY COUNTY COUNCIL, BY RESOLUTION,
MAY, UNLESS THE MONTGOMERY COUNTY EXECUTIVE DISAPPROVES
WITHIN 30 DAYS, REMOVE ANY MEMBER OF THE COMMISSION
APPOINTED FROM MONTGOMERY COUNTY PRIOR TO THE COMPLETION
OF THE COMMISSIONER'S TERM. In such event a public
hearing shall be held thereon, unless waived in writing
by the commission member sought to be removed. At such
hearing an opportunity shall be given to the commission
member in question to present a defense in his or her own
behalf. The provisions of this subsection shall not
apply to any member of the commission in office on June
1, 1975 for the member's current term of office. Any
