In subsection (c) (2) of this section, the word
"due", as it modifies "public notice", is
deleted as unnecessary.
In subsection (c) (3) (i) of this section, the
word "daily" is deleted since there are no
daily newspapers published in Calvert,
Charles, or St. Mary's Counties. Also, the
present reference to "cities" is deleted since
there are no cities in these counties.
The only other changes are in style.

6-201. ADMINISTRATION ESTABLISHED.
THERE IS A MARYLAND PORT ADMINISTRATION IN THE
DEPARTMENT.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first
sentence of Art. 41, §207C(a).
It is set forth as a separate section for
emphasis.
6-202. MARYLAND PORT ADMINISTRATOR.
(A) POSITION AND APPOINTMENT.
THE HEAD OF THE ADMINISTRATION IS THE MARYLAND PORT
ADMINISTRATOR, WHO SHALL BE APPOINTED BY THE SECRETARY
WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE GOVERNOR.
(B) RESPONSIBILITY TO SECRETARY; DUTIES.
(1) THE ADMINISTRATOR SERVES AT THE PLEASURE
OF THE SECRETARY AND SHALL REPORT DIRECTLY TO HIM.
(2) SUBJECT TO THE AUTHORITY OF THE
SECRETARY, THE ADMINISTRATOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CARRYING
OUT:
(I) THE POWERS AND DUTIES VESTED BY LAW IN
THE ADMINISTRATION; AND
(II) THOSE POWERS AND DUTIES VESTED IN THE
SECRETARY AND DELEGATED TO THE ADMINISTRATOR BY THE
SECRETARY.
