Baltimore County — School Budget
FOR the purpose of repealing those provisions of the lav
which prohibit the Baltimore County Council from
restoring reductions in the education budget made by
the county executive upon a certain contingency;
requiring the Baltimore County Council to disclose
certain information in certain circumstances; and
clarifying language.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 117(b) of Article 77 - Public
Education, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1975
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 77 — Public Education
117.
(b) This annual school budget shall be submitted
in writing to the board of county commissioners, county
council, or the county executive not less than 45 days
before the date for levying local taxes, or [such] AN
earlier date as [may be] requested by the local fiscal
authority but not prior to March 1. A county executive
