AN ACT concerning
Washington County - Surveyor
FOR the purpose of providing that certain work shall be
performed by a surveyor rather than the Washington
County Surveyor, which office no longer exists;
providing that compensation for the work shall be
agreed upon; eliminating the maximum fee amount; and
clarifying language.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 36-15 of the Public Local Laws of
Washington County being Article 22 of the Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1970 Edition and 1975 Supplement, as
amended) be and it is hereby repealed and reenacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
Article 22
36-15.
(A) The real estate of a delinquent taxpayer may
be sold to pay the State, County and municipal taxes,
whether there be personal property or not.[; whenever]
WHENEVER the Treasurer or Collector [shall deem]
CONSIDERS it unnecessary to sell the entire real property
with which a delinquent taxpayer is assessed, he shall
estimate the quantity thereof which in his judgment will
be sufficient to pay the taxes in arrears, interest, and
costs of sale, and shall [require the County Surveyor]
CONTRACT WITH A SURVEYOR to lay off and make a plat and
description of [the same, and the] THAT PART. THE part
[so] laid off shall be sold by [the] THAT plat and
description [so made], and it shall be sufficient in the
