(House Bill 1439)
AN ACT concerning
Calvert County - County Commissioners
FOR the purpose of altering the number of County
Commissioners for Calvert County; altering the
salary for the associate Commissioners and providing
for a separate salary for the President of the
Board; providing for the election of the County
Commissioners; providing that the salary alterations
do not affect the incumbents; and prohibiting the
increase in the number of County Commissioners from
going into effect until a certain occurrence.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 114 and 115 of the Public Local
Laws of Calvert County being Article 5 of the Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1963 Edition and 1970 Supplement,
as amended) be and they are hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
Article 5
114.
There [shall be three] ARE FIVE County Commissioners
for Calvert County. [Each Commissioner shall receive an
annual salary of $7,000] THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD SHALL
RECEIVE AN ANNUAL SALARY OF $12,500, AND EACH OF THE
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD SHALL RECEIVE AN ANNUAL
SALARY OF $10,000[; and none shall receive any extra
allowance either for expenses or for any other purpose].
115.
At the general election to be held in [said] CALVERT
county on the Tuesday next after the first Monday of
November, [in the year nineteen hundred and sixty-two]
