procedures of the sheriff of that county and his
relationship with certain other officers and
employees of the county. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, The Public Local Laws of Talbot County Section 507A, 507B, 507C, 507D, 507E, and 507F Article 21 - Public Local Laws or Maryland (1930 Edition, as amended variously by Chapter 672 of the Acts of 1961 and Chapter 228 of the Acts of 1976)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 507A, 507B, 507C, 507D, 507E, and
507F of the Public Local Laws of Talbot County being
Article 21 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition, as amended variously by Chapter 672 of the Acts
of 1961 and Chapter 228 of the Acts of 1976) be and they
are hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to
read as follows: Article 21 507A. (A)    All fees and charges in civil and criminal
cases to which the Sheriff [may now be] IS entitled by
law[,] shall [hereafter] be collected for and paid to
the [Treasurer] FINANCE OFFICER for [said] Talbot County
in the following manner: The Clerk, of the Circuit Court
for Talbot County, [shall] in all criminal cases and in
all civil cases, both at law and in equity, [institute]
INSTITUTED in [said] THE Circuit Court, SHALL collect all
costs taxable in [said] THE cases from or for the benefit
of the [said] Sheriff and pay THEM over [the same] to the
[Treasurer] FINANCE OFFICER of Talbot County, together
with an itemized statement thereof, quarterly, on January
1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st in each and
every year; and the Clerk of the [Trial Magistrate's]
DISTRICT Court for Talbot County [shall], in all cases,
civil and criminal, instituted in [said] THE Court, SHALL
collect [,] the fees and costs taxable from or for the
benefit of the Sheriff and pay THEM over [the same] to
the [Treasurer] FINANCE OFFICER of Talbot County at the
end of each month, together with an itemized statement
thereof. All [of such] THE collected fees and costs
shall also be accounted for to the County [Commissioners ]
COUNCIL of Talbot County. (B)    [Provided further that the] THE Sheriff shall
be responsible for service of all [magistrate] DISTRICT
Court process if and when directed by resolution of the
[Commissioners] COUNTY COUNCIL of Talbot County. 5073.
