493(c), 568F(a), 797(b), 862(a), 879, 882, 884(e),
889(d), 890(a), and 891(a) of Article 43 - Health, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and
1976 Supplement) be and they are hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows: Article 43 - Health 292. (a) Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of
Health and Mental Hygiene the Governor shall appoint the
Board consisting of 9 members; six of whom shall be
registered nurses and three of whom shall be licensed
practical nurses. Registered nurse members shall be
appointed in categories as specified: (i) [Three] NURSING EDUCATION - THREE
members, one member representing each of the following
education programs: baccalaureate, associate degree and
licensed practical nursing. (ii) [Three] NURSING SERVICE - THREE members,
one representing administration, and two representing
clinical practice. 367B. (a)      A deceased human BODY may not be cremated until
at least 12 hours after death. 490. (b)    After its investigation, the Board, by a
majority of all of its members, may charge a podiatrist
on any of the following causes: (2) Addiction to narcotics, habitual
drunkenness, or while suffering from a condition,
illness, or disease that may affect his professional
[competence, rendering] COMPETENCE OR RENDERING of
professional services; 493. (c)        The Board may pay expenses incurred in
carrying out the provisions of this subtitle and pay the
per diem compensation to its members, as provided in the
annual State budget. All moneys collected under this
subtitle shall be paid over to the State Treasurer and
shall become general funds of the State. Such moneys
shall thereafter be disbursed by the Comptroller only
pursuant to an appropriation made in accordance with §§
32 and 52 of Article 3 of the Constitution or pursuant to
the provisions of §§ 1 through 15 inclusive, of Article
15A of this Code, title ["Budget and Procurement,"]
"BUDGET AND FISCAL PLANNING", as amended from time to
time.
