such streets and public ways by any or all motor vehicles
under such circumstances or upon such conditions as it
may, from time to time, by ordinance, deem necessary or
expedient in the interest of the public. [Any] EXCEPT AS
PERMITTED IN SUBSECTION (A) OF THIS SECTION, ANY such
regulation shall not involve any charge of any kind for
the use of such street or public way, other than
reasonable charges for parking within areas set aside
exclusively for that purpose;

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.

AN ACT concerning
Horse Racing — Funds Distributed to Towns Counties,
Baltimore City, and Municipal Corporations
FOR the purpose of directing the Comptroller, and not
certain other officials, to semiannually allocate
and distribute horse racing funds to municipal
corporations requiring the State Comptroller to make
a direct semiannual payment of horse racing funds to
counties, Baltimore City, and municipal
corporations.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 78B — Racing Commission
Section 19(B)(1), 19(B)(2), and 19(C)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 1 9 (B)(1), 19(B)(2), and 19(C) of
Article 78B - Racing Commission, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1975 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be
and they are hereby repealed and reenacted, with
amendments, to read as follows;
