examination. It shall meet specially upon the call of
the chairman for the purpose of preparing or conducting
an examination. [However, the examining board may not
sit for an examination longer than four days at any
meeting.] At least 30 days' notice of any meeting for an
examination shall be given [by placing posters at each
mine and local post, office in or contiguous to the coal
mining territory throughout the State].
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977. Approved May 17, 1977.
CHAPTER 442 (House Bill 503) AN ACT concerning Podiatry - Continuing Education FOR the purpose of removing certain exemptions from the
continuing education requirements for podiatrists. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Article 43 - Health Section 493(b)(3) and 493A Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 493(b)(3) and 493A of Article 43
Health, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and they are
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 43 - Health
493.
(b) (3) A podiatrist may place and maintain
himself on inactive status on written application to the
Board and payment of an annual inactive fee established by the Board. HOWEVER, A PODIATRIST WHO IS ON INACTIVE
STATUS AND DESIRES TO REGAIN ACTIVE STATUS SHALL COMPLY
WITH ANY CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS THAT THE BOARD
ADOPTS.
