SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 493(b)(3) and 493A of Article 43
Health, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and they are
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

(b) (3) A podiatrist may place and maintain
himself on inactive status on written application to the
Board and payment of an annual inactive fee established
by the Board. HOWEVER, A PODIATRIST WHO IS ON INACTIVE
STATUS AND DESIRES TO REGAIN ACTIVE STATUS SHALL COMPLY
WITH ANY CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS THAT THE BOARD
ADOPTS.
