NOTWITHSTANDING §747 OF THIS ARTICLE, AFTER NOVEMBER
1, 1977, EACH APPLICANT FOR RENEWAL SHALL SUCCESSFULLY
COMPLETE BIENNIALLY ONE OR MORE BOARD APPROVED CONTINUING
EDUCATION PROGRAMS PROVIDING A TOTAL OF 20 HOURS OF
INSTRUCTION. 751. The powers and duties of the Board are as follows: (11) TO EVALUATE AND TO APPROVE OR DISAPPROVE
CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSES, EXCEPT THAT THE BOARD MAY
APPROVE ONLY THOSE COURSES CONSISTING OF QUALIFIED
INSTRUCTION RELATED TO THE PRACTICE OF FITTING AND
DEALING IN HEARING AIDS.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
Approved May 17, 1977. CHAPTER 439 (House Bill 496) AN ACT concerning Hearing Aid Dealers - Certificates FOR the purpose of specifying a uniform expiration date
for certificates of registration and of endorsement
for fitting of or dealing in hearing aids. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Article 43 - Health Section 744(a) and 747 Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 744(a) and 747 of Article 43 -
Health, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and they are
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows: Article 43 - Health 744. (a) Upon payment of $20, the Board shall register
