CHAPTER 400
(House Bill 221)
AN ACT concerning
Motor Fuel Inspection Law - Gasoline Additives
FOR the purpose of requiring the submission to the
Comptroller of any material, fluid, or substance
offered for sale as a substitute or improver of
gasoline or special fuels to be used for certain
purposes; specifying the data to be submitted;
requiring the Comptroller to inspect and authorize
such items prior to their sale; requiring the
labeling of such items; providing penalties;
requiring the seller of any gasoline or special fuel
additive to register the additive with the
Comptroller; specifying the information to be
submitted with the registration; prohibiting
additives with lead in certain circumstances;
requiring containers of crankcase oil offered for
sale to be labeled in a certain manner; and
requiring containers of reconditioned lubricants to
be labeled as such in a certain manner.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
