addition, the President of the Senate and Speaker of the
House may appoint to the Commission any member of the
General Assembly who holds a leadership position in a
national or regional legislative organization; these
members shall also serve at the pleasure of the President
of the Senate and Speaker of the House. The appointments
may be made at any time.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act

AN ACT concerning
State Police and Firefighters - Accident Leave
FOR the purpose of providing that certain leave granted a
State policeman as a result of on the job injury may

against annual sick leave.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 37(g) (h) of Article 64A - Merit
System, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, added to
read as follows:
