SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 64A(a) of Article 101 - Workmen's
Compensation, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 101 — Workmen's Compensation
64A.
(a) Any condition or impairment of health of any
paid municipal, county, airport authority or fire control
district, fire fighter caused by lung diseases, heart
diseases, or hypertension and any condition or impairment
of health of any paid State, municipal, MARYLAND-NATIONAL
CAPITAL PARK AND PLANNING COMMISSION, county or airport
authority police officer caused by heart diseases or
hypertension resulting in total or partial disability or
death shall be presumed to be compensable under this
article and to have been suffered in the line of duty and
as a result of his employment.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.

CHAPTER 389
(House Bill 155)
AN ACT concerning
Baltimore County - Property lax Credits for
New Dwellings
FOR the purpose of authorizing Baltimore County to grant
credits for property taxes for a period of time for
a certain number of newly constructed and unoccupied
single family dwellings in the county; and providing
for the procedures for these credits.
