(House Bill 7)
AN ACT concerning
Employment of Minors
FOR the purpose of repealing the present provisions of
law concerning the employment of minors; enacting
new provisions concerning their employment; defining
terras; stating the policy of the Act; stating
exceptions; granting certain powers to the
Commissioner of Labor and Industry; providing for
work permits for minors; prohibiting employment of
minors under a certain age; placing certain
restrictions on hours of work and types of work for
minors of certain ages; providing certain
exceptions; providing penalties for violations; and
generally relating to the employment of minors.

Section 4 through 51, inclusive
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1964 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement)
BY adding to
Article 100 - Work, Labor and Employment
Section 4 through 14, inclusive

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 4 through 51, inclusive, of
Article 100 — Work, Labor and Employment, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume and
1976 Supplement) be and they are hereby repealed.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Sections 4 through 14, inclusive, be and they are hereby
added to Article 100 — Work, Labor and Employment, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume and
1976 Supplement) to read as follows:
