SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section
4-402(d) of Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings,
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume and 1976
Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and reenacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
Article — Courts and Judicial Proceedings
4-402.
(d) (1) Except in a case under paragraph (2),
(4), (5), or (6) of § 4-401, the plaintiff may elect to
file suit in the District Court or in a trial court of
general jurisdiction, if the amount in controversy
exceeds $2,500.
(2) IN A CASE UNDER PARAGRAPH (7) OF § 4-401
THE PLAINTIFF MAY ELECT TO FILE A PETITION FOR INJUNCTIVE
BELIEF EITHER IN THE DISTRICT COURT OR THE CIRCUIT COURT.

shall take effect July 1, 1977.

AN ACT concerning
Insurance — Service Reimbursement
FOR the purpose of providing that an insured, covered
under certain policies, is entitled to reimbursement
for certain services performed by a certain duly
licensed certified social worker workers if the
insured was referred to the social worker by a
physician; and clarifying language.
