repeal or amendment by this Act of crimes and offenses

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.

AN ACT concerning
Police Training Commission — Additional Duties
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Police Training
Commission to require that the curriculum and course
of study for certain police training by certain
police training schools include certain course
curriculum and training concerning the crimes of
rape and sexual offenses; and relating generally to
additional duties with respect to the Police
Training Commission.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 70A (d) of Article 41 - Governor -
Executive and Administrative Departments, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and
1976 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

70A.
(d) Subject to the authority of the Secretary of
Public Safety and Correctional Services, the Commission
is vested with the following authority, responsibility
and duty;
